Terms of Use
1. About this draft and the current demo
This site is currently an public design preview. The case review walkthrough is a demonstration only: it uses fictional details, no enquiry details are accepted, saved or sent (hosting/network access logs may still be processed), and submission is disabled. These draft terms describe how a launched site is proposed to work.
2. Who we are
Birth Injury Helpline is an informational site illustrating a proposed advertising and enquiry service. It does not currently accept enquiries.
3. Not a law firm; no legal or medical advice
- We are an information, advertising and enquiry service, not a law firm, and we do not give legal advice.
- Using the site does not create an attorney-client relationship with us. Submitting an enquiry alone does not establish representation. A partner firm must independently confirm whether it will represent you. [COUNSEL: approve jurisdiction-specific attorney-client relationship and confidentiality wording.]
- Content is general information, not medical advice, and may not apply to your situation. Talk to your own doctors about care.
- In a medical emergency, call 911.
- This site is attorney advertising. [COUNSEL: state-specific advertising notices for DC, Maryland, Virginia, New York.]
4. How the enquiry service works
If you request a case review, the details you choose to share are passed to the partner law firm identified before you submit (to be disclosed before any future submission). That firm is independent of us, makes its own decisions and is responsible for any legal services it provides. We do not recommend or endorse any lawyer and do not guarantee that a firm will contact you, accept your matter, or achieve any result.
Advertising compensation. The partner firm may pay us for advertising or enquiries. [COUNSEL: final compensation disclosure wording.]
5. No guarantee; time limits
We make no promises about compensation, eligibility, outcomes or response times. Legal claims have time limits. Submitting an enquiry does not stop or extend any legal deadline. Only a licensed attorney can advise you about deadlines.
6. Contact consent
Consent to calls, texts or emails is given separately on the case review form, is not a condition of hiring a lawyer or buying anything, and may be revoked at any time, including by replying STOP to texts. Optional marketing updates have a separate, unticked choice. See the Privacy Policy. [COUNSEL: TCPA wording; LAUNCH: revocation implementation.]
7. Your responsibilities
- Submit only information you are entitled to share; if the enquiry is about a child, you must be their parent or legal guardian and 18 or older.
- Provide accurate contact details and do not submit on behalf of others without authority.
- Do not upload medical records or confidential documents through the initial enquiry.
- Do not misuse the site, attempt unauthorised access, or submit automated or false enquiries.
8. Content and intellectual property
Site text and design are owned by or licensed to the operator. Photos are licensed stock images of models, not patients, clients or partners. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial use.
9. Third-party links
Links to other websites are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". [COUNSEL: warranty disclaimer and limitation of liability wording, consistent with applicable consumer law.]
11. Disputes and governing law
[COUNSEL DECISION REQUIRED: governing law, venue and any dispute process. No arbitration clause or class-action waiver is proposed in this draft.]
12. Changes
We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do.
13. Contact
Enquiry and privacy request contact facilities are not available in this demonstration. They must be established before real intake is enabled.
